Maiden Voyage

I’m Riot. Aka Mere. Aka Meredith. I have a Master’s degree in English from University of St. Thomas, Houston and I read. A lot. And I talk about reading. Also a lot. I started a blog to review anything and everything I manage to get my hands on just to spare my beloved friends and family from having to listen to me yammer on about books all the time. Thanks, internet, for granting me the opportunity to engage in discussions that don’t relate to literature!

This blog was started as a means of strengthening my book reviewing and writing skills. I enjoy reading books in a very wide variety of subjects and hailing from any time period, though the majority of what I read and review will likely be postmodernist in nature. For the most part, what you’ll be getting will be whatever I feel like reading and writing about. Reviews will be posted after I finish a book, so don’t expect entries on a regular schedule. But if a book happens to take me a while to complete I’ll try to post an update as to when another review can be expected. Maybe even an entertaining link or two just to keep you interested. I hope to stimulate discussion on literature and – with any luck – other topics as well.
